Seniors Week Celebrations

Each year Aging Well Nova Scotia aims to host an event during Seniors Week (the first week of October) to celebrate the value and many contributions of older adults, and of members of the community-based senior serving sector.

Seniors Week 2025

Aging Well Nova Scotia’s workshop on intergenerational engagement for staff and volunteers of community-based senior serving organizations was a big hit, followed by an afternoon drop-in Seniors Week celebration complete with Gaelic entertainment, knowledge sharing, and treats.

Our Intergenerational Engagement Workshop and Seniors Week Celebration brought more than 70 people of all ages together to experience the rich traditions of Gaelic culture.

From language sharing and storytelling to lively music, songs and milling — it was a day filled with laughter, learning and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our seniors, and special thanks to Victoria County Community Health Board, Victoria County Active Living Fund, and the Department of Seniors and Long-term Care for supporting this event.
