Background
The CBSS sector consists of people like you: volunteers, professionals, caregivers, experts, academics, advocates and innovators, all connected to healthy aging, the rights of older adults, and the provision of wellbeing and engagement to older people in their communities.

The CBSS sector is gaining momentum across Canada. Provinces such as British Columbia and Alberta have established their own thriving provincial CBSS sectors, creating a vital knowledge exchange and network. Your attendance at this foundational gathering will help mobilize the CBSS movement in the Maritimes.

Our event partner: HelpAge Canada
We are hosting this information session and discussion in partnership with HelpAge Canada, a Canadian-based charity exclusively dedicated to supporting community organizations and the older people they serve, to help older people live safe, healthy, connected, and dignified lives.

The National Institute on Aging will also be in attendance to share regional findings from their 2024 Survey: Perspectives on Growing Older in Canada. Together we believe that your insights and ideas are essential to shaping the future of aging in the Maritimes and beyond. This workshop is an opportunity to share your thoughts and learn from others in your CBSS community as we build a stronger, more inclusive and unified sector together.

We look forward to your participation and working together to make a lasting impact.
